as much as i want to change my horrendous sleep pattern, i end up falling back into it every damn weekend.

i guess it is true that this whole fangirl-ing/k-popping thing/whatever you wanna call it is rather pointless/consuming me in a way i never thought possible. and it doesn't help that i am in desperate need of a distraction. so much of me wants to know these people in person and it's ironic that kpop is the only way of getting to know them, but at the same time it is the very thing that distances me from them as a non-fangirling human being. a few minutes ago i literally wanted to delete every kpop-related video and picture in my phone (i'm still fine with music) but i was thinking how the hell i'm gonna make train rides seem shorter and waiting/queueing less of a chore since all i do is watch big bang love song on inkigayo/ love in the ice (which makes me feel like a crumpled piece of paper). my life.

this won't change in a day. uh i guess i do get extremely excited over other things like clothes but of course that is more damaging to my pocket than kpop will ever be because i'm not a merchandise/cd/dvd kind of person (thank goodness). and now that school is like ifausbiusb!!!!!!!!!^%#, the easy way out is to switch on my laptop, watch boys touch each other/dance/spazz or entertain myself with a never-ending stream of pointless .gifs (thank you tumblr, as of now i still love you very much) instead of going to boutiques.com and think about my sad/non-existent bank account and lust over a.wang stuff i will never be able to get.

so my point is, i need to care about the last 2 weeks of being a year 1 and get things done. because it is scaring me that i'm not scared. i need to panic.

all i can think of is seoul seoul seoul i am excited about the clothes more than anything, believe it or not. plus the fact that i will have nothing on my mind and my most challenging part of my day will be to figure out korean words and to memorise the sequence of the korean subway stations.

before i start year 2.

exchange programme is turning out to be a much bigger hassle than i expected it to be. and korea doesn't seem to be happening because there are few viscomm courses that match up i believe. and i do not want to postpone graduation.

i am trying to immerse myself in other things right now. i hope i can spend the holidays discovering good music and art. and of course producing art of my own and experimenting with a whole lot of things.

completely excited to meet up with very important people in my life and spending time with them.

it is 6am and i have no idea how i'm gonna get to sleep, presentation's in a few hours and i like what i'll be handing in, which is always good news. how i wish i could feel the same about my other submissions. oh wait, i actually care. cool. ned to wake up by 12, grab subway and get some art history done before i feel completely useless at this time, tomorrow.

i'm pretty much at a block right now. it is horrible. i have been having bouts of omg-let's-whip-out-that-sketchbook-and-draw-endlessly but they only last so long. in the past when i draw, it brings me to a different place where nothing clouds my mind, honestly. it was the best feeling ever. my mind was absolutely blank and i was completely focused. but seems like recently it's not the same anymore because my thoughts are louder than i can handle so the more i draw the more cluttered i feel. i always tell myself to flush out everything-especially trying to be perfect, which is the first thing that brings me down. because once it is not "pretty" i immediately lose energy. so with the start of a new sketchbook i wanted to just be experimental. maybe i haven't been experimental enough i.e. making a mess with colours hence i'm not enjoying myself enough... it is annoying cos i've always been doing pen and pencil in book (hassle bringing colouring materials around and stacked pages don't exactly agree with seeping paint/bleeding/etc) so it's like once i've finally created something decently satisfying i try so hard to reproduce it and if it is not "up to mark" i lose energy..............................hmm.

also, i've been less inspired than i used to be upon observing new works. now i try so hard to replicate instead of putting my own twist on things. well ok that rarely happens but i used to try. and now i don't anymore.

i was really lazy last week and i'm suffering from the consequences right now. bad habits die hard. i admire people who have an eye for nice angles and perspectives and it annoys me that the current assignment is photography-heavy. i guess that's how things go. it seems like everyone in my class is photographer by training or something when i saw their work i was like holy shit time to dig hole to bury self and laptop now. perhaps this is what you call good stress. prior to this i've been reading some books on composition i can't say they were utterly useless but it really takes a lot of time to get used to the camera and knowing which angles look best, lighting etc.

so far i only truly enjoy foundation drawing lessons and that's as far as it goes omg i'm gonna die in this course crap crap crap war happen now.

the boys have been touring the world it's weird that korea seems nearer to me than if they were anywhere else. i don't really have time to fangirl right now but it's difficult to detach myself from what i've been doing for the past few months and it helped that they were promoting in korea at the point in time. but now it's just...uh...people don't seem very keen on tuning in to sukira even. or maybe it's just me since i'm technically being separated from them lol uni life.

time is ticking away time is ticking away i feel every need to do extremely well or at least give my best during these 4 years but i guess just cos the first few assignments aren't exactly what i'm comfortable with, i feel them pulling down my morale a whole lot. it's ok, time to learn learn learn and be a sponge!

i realised i always end up buying pens that are green/teal/pink and it is completely unintentional. i never realised that previous colours i bought are all so similar. the whitish looking one is actually pale pink, really pretty.

my braces are also almost ALWAYS teal/lavender. (ok obviously i'm not gonna post a close up picture of the colour of my braces cos that's just gross) idk, i just feel those are the most complimentary colours, ok teal's not exactly the most complimentary. teal is just loud but i love it and people actually notice me for my teal braces. like random people on the streets. i know right! freaky to know they were staring at my mouth most if the time. there was this time i was shopping in art friend and this caucasian lady asked me what perfume i was using. i was like, dude you mean you were smelling me the whole time?!?!?!? in my head of course. so yes, i subconsciously like these colours. the only other colours i've tried on my braces are...red and...i think that's all. so unadventurous ): wanna try also cannot already cos i'm taking out soon ):/ (: always want her to put multi colour but i'm too paiseh.

i wanna go for ss3 so badly (cos big bang will never come so this is the closest i can get to seeing ANY of my biases) and i am reading fan accounts which make me dread the whole experience more and more. it's like, sick fun because i know i will lose my mind like every other fan girl behind those fancams whom i find absolutely annoying. i know i will just end up squealing like them and then find myself annoying after i view my very own fancam. well besides that, point is, after you step out of the concert venue, you know everything will go back to normal but things will never be the same again. and i have been to many concerts like fob/mraz, twice even/ jang geun suk, well i guess you can catergorize that as a "concert"/ st vincent/ some other unimportant ones i probably forgot AND THING IS i don't have fob/mraz fandoms. eunhyuk is like, on a different level. and i don't wanna leave the concert venue feeling like a wreck. cos if i had withdrawal for fob and mraz, this will be like 38472324 times worse? maybe not worse but a completely different negative feeling.

Gosh i feel so guilty. It has been ages since i visited one of those art sites that i always go to and it seems impossible to catch up on what i missed out since the last visit! All thanks to kpop, i mean, not that i'm complaining. Looking at all the exhibition photos and process photos reminded me of the times that i used to paint, getting messy with oil and turp, THE SMELL and visiting actual museums in New York. Cannot wait to immerse myself in it again. I recently started drawing again just to warm up and boy, did i need it. I. WAS. SUPER. RUSTY. like, i couldn't even get the tones correct and i had serious trouble shading. Realised what kind of well-oiled machine i was during the A's when i was drawing practically every single freaking day i have no idea how i managed that...and the major shoulder aches.

It is a wonder how you can own many things but still feel like you have nothing.
I am also on my awesome colic streak. Mom is concerned and wants me checked but I seriously freak out at hospitals. There was this time I was almost sent in cos I had this incredibly painful spasm/cramp/onlyGodknowswhatitwas it was crazy unimaginable ok. And my mom was this close to calling an ambulance and when I seriously thought I was going I freaked out even more and it completely did NOT help and I was breaking out in cold sweat more than I already was. My life flashed before me ok I am serious. K obviously my mom tried to calm me down and half my life was gone but I tried to sleep it off or smth like that I forgot what happened exactly. Oh hospitals.
Kns that medicated oil feeling even though there wasn't a single drop of it to begin with!!!! This seriously sickens me and I feel nauseous again.

I should try sleep now :/

i've been obsessing over nail art recently thanks to the overflowing amount of free time.

looking around and getting aggcited over the 'konad' and 'minx' things which are like template/stencils? idk should go read up on how they work. i think they are similar to the rub-on alphabets... cos from all the pics they look too neat to be a stamp thingum. i wonder if they have it in singapore. the bigger pity though, is that there are no essie/china glaze nail polishes in sg stores. i know they're available on cherryculture but it is really too much of a hassle just for that one bottle of polish. and they (outside of sg God knows where) also have nail polish that come with thin art brushes instead of the regular big flat ones specially for nail art. gasp. need those. sorry but i'm not big on the sequins and crystals like xiaxue.

i have actually attempted this once using regular art acrylic paint cos i heard they use acrylic as well but maybe there's a special nail acrylic? idk. i remember painting a snowman cos it was christmas and after i applied my top coat the snowman became fuzzy/motion-blurred. i know, is sad. should've taken a photo in memory of frosty, sigh.

i have so manny ideas buzzing outta my head right now!!!!!!!

i admire people who write concisely, in a seemingly effortless manner.

and i always wonder if people romanticise their lives/relationship too much because it always seems too good to be true, or maybe i'm just a cynic.

it's freaking 5.16am i wish it was jet lag from a new york trip but no it's not. and i am taking vitamin gummies just to make myself feel better, i swear i know it's not working.

i'm gonna give a fragmented account japan, as are all my other posts, in bits.

can't say it enough but i L.O.V.E harajuku it really is the place to be. but i do regret not having the time to stop and soak in the entirety of it and look at all the pretty/well-dressed/freaking awesome (they all fall into one or all of the above mentioned categories) japanese!

they are honestly effortlessly fashionable, or at least that was how it came across to me. and i just wonder how the fuck the crepe-making girls/trash collectors/every freaking person has the energy to doll themselves up everyday like it wasn't even light make up ok, i saw so much glitter it was like an entire galaxy thingum on their eyelids hell!

kudos to them.

accomodation. (haha pointless effort in making this organised) it was completely more than we bargained for!!!!! and for the cost, i honestly couldn't believe it. MORE.THAN.WORTH.IT. and we spent the last few nights in nien yuan's sister's house in odaiba which was near the artificial coast haha. odaiba is a separate world as compared to the shinjuku/harajuku/shibuya kind of tokyo. it is definitely an awesome place to raise kids in why am i speaking like i am gonna get married.
